Title: Plowed Fields
Comment: This is an original painting on linen, begun on site one sunny fall day and finished in my studio. ClearWater Conservancy has shown that if we set our minds to it, the pastoral landscapes surrounding State College can be preserved, not just as paintings, but in real life. I am pleased as an artist to help with this effort.
Bio: Figures of women are the primary focus of my painting. However, I constantly find myself pulling off the road in a breathless state in an attempt to capture local landscapes and cloudscapes. My favorite times of year to chase these scenes are February and November. Painting landscapes allows me to loosen up my technique and paint for the pure joy of it.
